One practical consideration specific to rep activewear versus other rep categories: activewear is worn against skin during physical activity, which means fabric quality, dye fastness, and construction integrity affect comfort and durability in ways that are more immediately apparent than with outerwear or accessories. A rep sneaker that has slightly wrong construction is still wearable indefinitely. Rep activewear that uses poor-quality elastic loses its compression within a few months, and cheap dyes can cause skin irritation during exercise.
