For mechanical watch reps on CNFans, the movement is the component with the most variation and the least visibility in QC photos. A display caseback allows you to see the movement in QC photos — request a caseback photo specifically if your watch has one. For solid casebacks, you're relying on the seller's representation of the movement specification.

The community has established rough reliability benchmarks: Miyota 8215 and Seiko NH35 movements are Japanese movements that power mid-tier reps and have documented accuracy and longevity. Chinese ETA clones vary more — some are reliable, some are not, and quality is factory-dependent. Super clones claiming to use genuine or high-grade cloned movements are harder to verify and require community research on the specific seller before purchase.

The bracelet or strap is the component that wears most quickly on any watch, rep or genuine. In QC photos, check that bracelet links are flush with each other and with the case, that the clasp engraving is clean and the clasp mechanism opens and closes smoothly (visible in a QC video if you request one), and that the strap material is correct for the model. A leather strap should not look like plastic; a rubber strap should have appropriate texture. These are assessable from close-up QC photos and are worth specifically requesting additional angles for.

Watches require specific handling at the shipping stage. International shipments containing watches may face additional customs scrutiny depending on the declared value and destination country. The watch industry has active trademark protection programmes in most Western markets, and branded watches are a higher-risk import category than most clothing.
